What you'll do at

  • Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g. customers, suppliers, associates).
  • Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments
  • Drive and implement the business plan for area of responsibility to achieve facility goals (e.g., production, quality, safety) and implement operational improvements.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
  • Forecast and follow up on staffing, workload and performance results to meet business demands for workload and performance results.
  • Identify and ensure associate, customer and supplier concerns are resolved, using own judgment or consulting others when needed.
  • Manage assigned financial aspects
  • Monitor and ensure area of responsibility's compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures and directives
  • Oversee and direct financial aspects as assigned and/or in area of responsibility
  • Oversees maintenance department daily operations
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates
  • Supervise and manage associates and leaders in area of responsibility

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management); and 1 year experience in an industrial maintenance environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees OR Associate's Degree or technical school certification in a related field and 1 year experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees, managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees in a maintenance department OR 1 year experience as a Walmart Logistics Maintenance Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 3 years supervisory or managerial experience supervising evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees, managing workload, analyzing financial/operational data; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees in a maintenance/industrial-related environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year's experience managing budgets, managing P&L, developing manpower forecasts, and analyzing financial/operational data
  • 1 year's experience with Industrial Warehouse maintenance processes (e.g., preventative maintenance, material handling equipment, power equipment, facilities upkeep) to include project management
  • 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Maintenance Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates
  • 3 years experience managing maintenance within an Operations Excellence environment (Toyota Production System (TPS), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean) with responsibility for developing processes, implementing programs, and ensuring deployment & sustainability.
  • 5 years of relevant Project Management or Maintenance Reliability experience
  • Both Associate's degree or technical school certification in a related field (e.g., welding, refrigeration, electrical, electronics) and 3 years experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees, managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees in a maintenance department
  • Both Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 3 years experience in an industrial maintenance environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees
  • Certification(s) as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred.
