What you'll do at

The Senior Manager, Strategy at Walmart / Jet is responsible for identifying strategic opportunities to drive our business across the entire supply chain, foster internal and external collaboration, and partner with leadership to drive key initiatives. Ultimately, your goal is to help transform the face of eCommerce Operations at Walmart.

The Senior Manager, Strategy will be a part of the eCommerce Supply Chain Strategy team and will play an integral role in identifying, prioritizing, developing, analyzing, and communicating business strategies for various company initiatives. This position reports to the Chief of Staff for eCommerce Supply Chain and will work closely with leaders in Operations, Retail, Inventory Management, Fulfillment, Transportation, Network Strategy and Walmart Home Office corporate teams.
Assist on a broad range of forward-looking projects that help answer key operating model questions for the company
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop business models, opportunities, and strategy recommendations to support strategy head on executive-level presentations
Research and mine data, perform complex analysis, and apply strategic thinking to support decisions, to clearly articulate issues that have the largest impact on the business
Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in metrics and data analytic programs and apply this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans
Work closely to advise on global headcount across functional business unit on optimizing strategy, processes, programs, forecasting and goal setting to maximize revenue and increase contributions towards the company wide priorities and initiatives
Set up new business leaders for success through onboarding, org structure navigation and development of new strategic direction and ongoing structure for organization
Implement robust revenue/headcount forecasting models and processes with metrics tracking to increase visibility and accountability
Create suite of self service tools/dashboards to empower teams


Minimum Qualifications

BS and 5+ years experience in ecommerce, technology, supply chain or operations
Understanding of customer insights and customer service operations analysis
Continuous Improvement
Strong process improvement skills and experience with driving operational excellence initiatives
Ability to distill insights from data and package into concise business recommendations

Functional Competencies:
Consultant / Associate at a top tier management consulting firm (experience in eCommerce or operations strategy preferred)
Strong business acumen and demonstrated proficiency in general business disciplines
Analytical and deductive reasoning skills
Stickler for process and organized project management
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
Entrepreneurial mindset: belief in bold ideas and the power of creative thinking to get to “yes”
Bias for action: desire to test concepts in the field quickly
Deep passion for retail, eCommerce, and/or consumer technology

Preferred Qualifications

3-4 years of post-MBA experience preferred
Ability to access and manipulate via SQL, Tableau. Experience with packages such as R, Tableau, SPSS, SAS, STATA
Experience working in an operations analytics or operational finance role
Strong process management skills

Strong data gathering skills
Strong technical skills: Excel, Powerpoint, SQL, Tableau, R
Excellent communication skills
Proven track record of problem solving
