Senior Analyst II, Business. Intelligence & Analytics

What you'll do at

Manages the development and implementation of business intelligence and analytics portfolio by reviewing new technologies relevant to business intelligence and analytics; conducting feasibility studies, prototype construction, and optimization analyses; participating in project artifact and detailed business solution reviews; developing creative solutions across multiple business
areas that meet business goals; building plans for implementation of business intelligence solutions; collaborating with internal and/or external partners to develop and implement system enhancements; and integrating third-party solutions into the Walmart
environment.

Develops standards, processes, and best practices for area of responsibility by partnering with cross-functional teams across business functions; benchmarking with industry experts through continuous education and use of networks; developing assessments of key opportunities; providing insight in order to help define the corporate vision around and improve data standards, policies, and processes; developing and improving standards, processes, and tools; incorporating the results of
analyses into strategies and functional plans; ensuring continuing education and training (for example, relevant industry certifications, forums) for internal team members; and providing leadership and insights throughout life cycle of initiatives.

Consults with business stakeholders regarding data insights and recommendations on strategic initiatives or multi-business initiatives by assessing data accuracy, validity and usability of data using a variety of enterprise-wide applications (for example,querying, report writing tools, scorecards); using various business intelligence, visualization and advanced analysis methodologies; identifying trends, patterns, and discrepancies in data; integrating internal and external data to determine
meaningful and actionable insights; translating and visualizing results to successfully gain buy-in and drive business actions; developing recommendations regarding the application of insights to business strategies; and presenting insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Leads and executes multiple, large, complex projects plans by collaborating with key stakeholders to identify business needs; converting requirements into viable technical business intelligence and analytical solutions; demonstrating and communicating working knowledge of the assigned business area and organizational best practices, policies, and procedures; assisting in the
development and evaluation of detailed business intelligence specifications, performance criteria, and test criteria; evaluating and recommending products; assigning and prioritizing project activities to supporting team members; developing implementation procedures and standards; providing guidance to team members on modeling techniques, data mining, statistical analysis, and
all new analysis projects.

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Engineering, Mathematics,Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 6 years' experience in an analytics related field OR Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 4 years' experience in an analytics related field OR Doctoral degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years' experience in an analytics related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certificate in business analytics, data mining, or statistical analysis and/or in business intelligence, visualization or analytics tools.
• 6 years' experience in retrieving, merging, and cleaning data from multiple sources or platforms using business
intelligence and/or SQL and relational databases (for example, D2B, Oracle, SQL Server, Alteryx).
• 6 years' experience with statistical programming languages (for example, SAS).
• 6 years' experience with data visualization tools (for example, Tableau).
