What you'll do at

We are looking for an exceptional Category Manager to lead the Universal Automotive retail team. You will be responsible for managing a high growth business by optimizing levers across merchandising, marketing and product technology to drive GMV and profit results. Your goals include building a strategy that will win market share, identifying and developing talent within your organization and closely tracking performance of your assortment. You will determine competitive pricing that lives up to our brand promise, analyze marketplace trends to identify new opportunities, improve the customer experience through findability, and secure marketing support for your key initiatives. Creativity and agility will be paramount as you identify retail trends and synthesize information from multiple touch points, providing forecasts and supporting business solutions in a fast-paced, multi-dimensional environment.
In this position, you’ll get to …
•Own category financial targets (GMV and Margin) and identify levers to achieve those targets
•Optimize product sourcing mix across manufacturers, distributors and third party retailers.
•Develop and lead a team of Category Managers and Specialists, driving skill development growth and continuous learning across entire direct report team.
•Deliver best-in-class assortment and end-to-end customer experience
•Drive operating efficiencies to continuously improve processes, data integrity, and systems.
•Innovate and leverage the enterprise’s advantages to build scalable high growth businesses around immediate and emerging opportunities.
•Develop assortment, pricing, marketing and product strategies to deliver financial goals and grow market share for the Universal Automotive category.
•Lead team of Category Specialists to execute business strategies using effective and clear communication.
•Determine white space in assortment/brands and secure partnerships to cover these opportunities.
•Maximize vendor relationships that allow you to create unique assortments, deliver best-in-market pricing and ensure fast delivery.
•Build best-in-class item content for your entire assortment through efficient item set-up management and vendor partnerships.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, retail or related field and 4 years’ experience in business, retail or related field OR 6 years of experience in business, retail or related field

Preferred Qualifications

3 years supervisory expeience
•4-5 years managing an ecommerce business, with experience in marketing and site optimization
•4-5 years developing strong business relationships with vendors and industry leaders
•4-5 years experience managing and maintaining an open-to-buy
