Sr. Manager Account Planning & Analysis - Texas Retail Energy - Realty

What you'll do at

Oversees and manages Texas Retail Energy domestic and international accounting, planning and analysis for complex business unit by ensuring
compliance with corporate policies and procedures, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) for overall
business unit accounting function; managing current and future tax policy for utility charges in accordance with regulations and corporate policy; and
communicating with business partners, managers, co-workers, and other key stakeholders.
Manages financial, budgeting, and operational activities for energy-related services by setting plans to achieve annual operating performance
objectives for the business; managing department profit and loss statements and balance sheets; overseeing the audit process on energy usage,
energy rates, tax rates, and other charges against benchmarks across all stores to ensure accurate and timely billing; and developing and managing
operational systems in area of responsibility.
Oversees job-related activities for accounting and invoicing (for example, invoicing, accounting, accounts payable, contract administration, customer
service) by developing and managing strategic relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and service providers; communicating company
goals and objectives to third-party vendors as well as internal team; managing third-party relationships to ensure contract compliance; supporting
plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and
addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business
plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring
progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work
environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching
for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to
others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business
partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and 4 years management experience in accounting, finance, or related field OR 6 years management
experience in accounting, finance, or related field .

Preferred Qualifications

*8 years experience in energy related role; or MBA.
