What you'll do at

•Coordinate with various departments, teams and perform all capacity planning related activities.
•Evaluate and recommend systems parameters changes to ensure effective and efficient system resources usage to support current and future business needs.
•Evaluate systems performance and prepare capacity plans and reports.
•Determine units of work, identify service levels for each workloads and create definition of satisfactory services.
•Analyze the current capacity including measuring service levels in comparisons to departmental objectives, measuring overall resources
•Plan for the future processing requirements of the organization.
•Manage all key systems metrics and generate required reports.
•Ensure compliance of all guidelines and optimum utilization of all systems resources
•Perform maintenance and upgrades of the capacity planning environment and databases
•Excellent working knowledge of both IBM mainframe and open systems environments including ZOS, CICS, AIX VMWare Windows, NETAPP, EMC and NMNI

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science and 4 years systems engineering experience OR Master of Science and 3 years systems engineering experience OR PhD OR 6 years of experinence

Preferred Qualifications

3 years experience Capacity Planning in a complex multi-platform environment

1 year troubleshooting experience in an infrastructure technology.

3 years experience building or implementing multiple types of infrastructure technologies (for example, routers, switches, servers).

Working Knowledge Of BMC Truesight Capacity Optimizer and HP reporter
