What you'll do at

As the Director of Financial Operations on our Global Treasury team, you’ll focus on ensuring that projects relating to electronic payments (credit and debit cards) are completed on-time and with operational excellence. You’ll lend your talents to forecasting electronic payment acceptance costs. You will work closely with Global Treasury’s electronic payments accounting team to support their processes and development.

Here are some things you’ll do:
  • Ensure accounting standards are in place and maintained for the electronic payments we accept; oversee Associates' implementation of these processes; audit processes to minimize costs and identify issues; and ensure compliance with strategies and policies governing payment acceptance.
  • Provide approach to enable payment services by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; develop, communicate, build support for, and implement business strategies, plans, and practices; perform quantitative and qualitative analyses; analyze costs and forecasts and incorporate them into business plans; evaluate operational processes; coordinate with other functional areas; provide and communicate recommendations; measure outcomes to ensure desired results; identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities; promote a customer-focused environment; demonstrate adaptability and sponsor continuous learning.
  • Serve as project manager for ad hoc projects by managing objectives, deliverables, and key milestones; influence others to reach consensus; develop appropriate technical and operational approaches to in-store and cross-channel payments services, products, and capabilities; and ensure projects deliver substantive results

    Who you are:
  • You are able to wear many hats, switching from traditional finance concepts of forecasting and month-end reconciliations to the implementation of operational best practices and issue-resolution
  • Your professional experience is marked by your ability to lead cross-functional teams (internal and external) to drive results that improve our customers’ experience and reduce costs
  • You are in your element in an environment where no two days are the same. You can collaborate with a diverse team from executives to technical professionals and accounting analysts and deliver fast, measurable, and accurate business results
  • You understand the importance of exceptional customer experience and work to design processes that deliver for our customers. When issues arise, you work to resolve them immediately without losing sight of the root cause.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    • 2 years of supervisory experience OR 2 years experience leading and completing cross-functional projects.
    • Bachelor s degree in Finance or related field and 4 years experience in Finance or related field OR 8 years experience in finance or related field.

    Preferred Qualifications


    • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
    • 4+ years’ experience leading electronic payment acceptance at a large retail organization; acquiring experience; or leading electronic payments at a financial institution or card network
    • 4+ years delivering results in large, complex, matrixed organizations
    • 4+ years strategic planning experience; leveraging data-driven, analytical approach to problem-solving and decision-making
    • 2+ years’ experience in Retail operations.
      2 years experience delivering results in large, complex, matrixed organizations.
