Hayneedle is looking for a highly seasoned Director of Brand & Curation who is an inspiring storyteller and brand builder, to join our Marketing leadership team and further build our brand reputation. Are you a customer-centric creative problem solver who isn't afraid to think outside the box, loves creating brand platforms, communication playbooks, and executing all of their components to inspire, empower, and celebrate your customers? The ideal candidate must have experience as the steward of a Brand, Creative, Communications and Content and took it to new heights building and managing a team, as well as demonstrate successful business outcomes from prior experience across SEM, display, programmatic, and social. The candidate will have innovative approach to analytical/problem solving problems and new approaches, hand-on knowledge of optimization methodologies, as superb understanding of organic and channel landscape to build brand. She/he will possess extensive knowledge in digital marketing channels, hands-on collaborative leadership ability, analytical/problem-solving skills, and entrepreneurial can-do spirit.

What is expected:
•Define and execute relevant brand, communications, content and corporate marketing strategies that elevate Hayneedle brand reputation.
•Empower and collaborate our Comms, Content and Creative Leads with amplifying our brand positioning and differentiation to consumer and to the trade.
•Build a stellar collaborative team and processes along with their measurements and reporting
•Craft and deliver all aspects of a unique and modern Brand platform (visual identity system, messaging, voice, style, etc.) and deliver on integrating customer POV to all other marketing areas such as SEO, Social, PR, trade.
•Owns positioning and management of brand, including target audiences, brand promise, differentiations, serve to socialize brand throughout marketing and relevant adjacent functions as needed.
•Define, oversee, and implement multi-channel campaigns that shape the brand reputation and deliver on metrics with various stakeholders.
•Shape and deliver a digital presence that lifts the brand above all competitors, clearly articulates its value proposition and engages prospect customers and employees authentically.
•Execute a Communications playbook (PR, AR, Exec Comms, etc.) that elevates the reputation of Hayneedle with key industry and press influencers.
•Work closely with Product, Site Marketing to scale a customer-facing content production engine that inspires and equips more and more customers/trade to collaborate on content.
•Develope a world-class Brand & Curation team (managing agencies, project management) that supports the extended marketing organization and represents Hayneedle in its best light.

Minimum Qualifications

You Have:
•Exceptional people leadership skills.
•Experience as the steward of a Brand, Creative, Communications and Content to elevating a brand.
•You understand how to use all pieces of an experience, whether you control their resources or not, to create a unique and relevant brand.
•An understanding of both consumer and trade, preferably in retail ecommerce categories.
•Proficiency in digital marketing, including website marketing, social media and content creation & distribution.
•Experience in Influencer Marketing, including PR, AR, strategic narrative development, etc.
•Excellent strategic and creative communication skills with a constant drive to deliver better experiences and programs for customers.

•Self-starter with the ability to lead a team, and is able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
•10+ years of online marketing experience, ideally in e commerce and content
•Bachelors, MBA preferred, or equivalent experience.
•Experience in online marketing display, search, social, content marketing advertising, managing a large multi-million-dollar budget .
•Extensive knowledge of brand and curation marketing with a “finger on the pulse” of the industry.
•Experience building, managing, retaining teams in a fast-paced digital environment.
•Intellectually curious with strong analytical skills and an exceptional ability to communicate new ideas and findings.
•Deeply analytical and data driven; proficiency with CPA, LTV, A/B testing, promotional strategy, attribution models, and cohort analysis.
•Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written to clearly convey and interpret market dynamics, strategies, tactics, rationale and results, to peers, agency and “C-suite” audiences.
•Proficiency with Adobe creative suite, CMS systems such as WordPress, drupal, marketing analytics such as Google, Omniture, Adobe.

Meet Our Family of Brands

  • Bachelor s degree in Design, Creative Writing, Advertising, Fine Arts, or related field and 7 years leading creative teams OR 9 years experience leading creative teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 years experience working for or with creative agencies.
  • 4 years experience managing brand initiatives for product launches.
  • 4 years experience managing budgets, including budget forecasting and reporting financials.
