Position: Systems and Infrastructure Engineer III
Job Location: 702 SW 8th Street, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Technology Solution Automation: Employ automation tools to automate repetitive tasks and releases for a more efficient workflow. Infrastructure Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management and hot fixes. Escalate any issue that occurs in the backup media. Audit desktops for compliance with IT policies. Conduct regular database integrity checks to ensure minimal data loss. Troubleshoots issues related to systems engineering solutions by serves as software operational support and provides subject matter expertise; research and reviews reported issues; develops and implements solutions based on expertise or escalates to appropriate teams when needed; identifies trends in issues and determines the root cause; collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive solutions; updates stakeholders on issue resolution. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities. Requirement And Scoping Analysis: Understand the Business/Stakeholder/Technical requirements and assist in analyzing the existing solutions to address the needs. Prepare requirement traceability matrix and maintain traceability between business requirements, functional requirements, design and test cases. Contribute to the creation of user stories for component/module/simple requirements. Manages daily operations support for existing systems engineering solutions by performs complex maintenance and monitors the health and performance of systems engineering solutions; develops and delivers operational features and operations management systems and processes to accommodate growth and traffic on eCommerce websites; designs systems testing processes and environments; evaluates logs in order to proactively detect and document issues; performs daily requirements in order to ensure reliable and continued service; documents engineering processes and designs; and mentors and trains team members on applicable topics and processes. Coding: adhere to all relevant coding guidelines while writing/configuring code. Create/configure minimalistic code for a component/module under guidance. Maintain records by documenting program development and revisions. Stay updated on the prevalent coding languages and frameworks in the industry outside the immediate scope of delivery. Identify repetitive and routine tasks in CI/CD, Testing or any other process that can be automated. Implement telemetry features as required under guidance. Apply security policy requirements to component/module during code development/configuration. Capacity Management: Provide suggestions to for right-sizing IT resources to meet current and future business requirements in a cost-effective manner. Analyze IT resource utilization. Right-size applications to make sure service levels can be met. Assist in creating capacity plans that covers current use. Configuration Management: Identify required processes, tools and baseline products for configuration including software, models, plans and documents for low complexity project. Configure new Virtual Machines (VMs) to handle email, intranet, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and core business applications running on the cloud. Issue Resolution: Analyze and prioritize issues under moderate supervision for projects of moderate complexity. Independently identify and elaborate possible and feasible solutions to the issues raised. Evaluate all available options to resolve the raised issues for projects of moderate complexity.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field and 1 year of systems engineering experience or related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field and 2 years of systems engineering experience or related experience.
Skills required: Must have experience with: Developing user interfaces using JavaScript and Typescript frameworks like React Native, Angular; Developing server-side logic using Node.js and Expressjs; Developing RestAPI using Java and implementing Graph QL endpoints for client-server communication; Storing and managing application data using MySQL, Cassandra, Cosmos, Oracle, Azure SQL; Defining the API endpoints, sending requests from the frontend by using JavaScript's fetch API, libraries like Axios, React Query, Apollo Client, Angular Http Client Module, ng-fetch to send HTTP requests from the frontend and handling responses in the frontend; CI/CD: Creating and deploying large-scale, containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in public clouds like Google GCP and Microsoft Azure; Using Terraform to Create, update, and version cloud and on-prem infrastructure, Managing infrastructure components, including compute, storage, and networking resources using Terraform; Writing test cases using jest, junit, mocha, jasmine, React Native testing library, Detox, Appium and Enzyme; Implementing security measures, such as Azure Active Directory, OAuth, or SSL certificates, to protect applications and data; Figma for developing UI screens and explaining mockups of application or webpage and confluence for documentation; and Using Jira for creating, updating, and tracking user stories and participate in sprint planning activities.
