Senior Manager, Creative - Copy
We’re looking for a Senior Manager of Copy to join the Creative Production Team at Sam’s Club. This highly specialized role will lead a lean, fast-moving internal copy team, delivering high-impact creative on urgent timelines. You’ll help shape messaging for everything from corporate campaigns to experimental prototypes and social trend responses, working hand-in-hand with designers and video editors. You will lead by example—writing, reviewing, and refining copy that shows up across websites, digital signage, social platforms, internal screens, events, and more. You’ll also serve as a collaborative coach to your associate copywriter, helping shape a high-trust, high-performance team culture. This is not a traditional copy role—it’s a rare opportunity to build something new and meaningful inside a company that moves at scale. What you'll do...

Creative Asset Development Identifies and prioritizes project objectives and leads creative asset development across multiple projects providing input and collaborating with creative leads across projects Creative Brief Review Reviews and understands creative briefs developed by Marketing Strategy and Planning Customer Experience or ECommerce Category Marketing Begins to build awareness of entire portfolio of creative briefs past in development and futureplanned Brand Management Manages visual branding across specific channels eg website print materials digital campaigns videos training materials packaging Supervises advancement of the brand voice through creative content development Innovation and Strategy Executes creative strategies and tools aligned to the customer experience strategy leveraging knowledge of industry trends and business needs to drive innovation and execution Project Management Manages a team of individual contributors to ensure successful delivery and execution of projects programs or portfolios Provides input to strategyroadmap for team leveraging business domain knowledge and expertise Budgets and Financial Management Performs costbenefit analyses makes recommendations on and manages assigned budget for team Collaboration Works with agency partners from inception to completion and resolves complex issues Collaborates with other Marketing groups Advertising Marketing Strategy and Planning Customer Experience Digital etc and stakeholders outside of Marketing eg Category Management to coordinate tasks and ensure campaign alignment Partners with internal Finance team and Accounts Payable to coordinate payments to external vendors People Development Coaches team members and provides feedback to enhance skills knowledge and work performance Mentors less experienced associates and managers Conducts performance and career development conversations if applicable Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs developing and communicating business plans and priorities removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance providing resources identifying performance standards measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly developing contingency plans and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training mentoring assigning duties building a teambased work environment establishing performance expectations and conducting
