What you'll do at

Manages the execution of absence management programs (paid time off, leave of absence, short and long-term disability, and accommodations), to include plan design, development of training and resources, and oversight of system development and implementation Manages Walmart’s absence management programs and related processes to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including FMLA (Family Medical Leave of Absence), ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), and paid leave Reviews new federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and case law in order to identify any program changes or reporting and controls needed to maintain compliance Manages vendor relationships to ensure performance in line with Walmart expectations, including conducting reviews and audits of vendor work Analyzes data to assess program performance and trends in order to make recommendations for program enhancements Communicates absence management program information to associates by reviewing and validating plan and associated correspondence; reviewing and approving vendor communications; working with senior leadership to resolve questions and issues; developing, organizing, and facilitating training programs utilizing multiple delivery methods (for example, video, web, live broadcast) for internal and external constituents, in large or small group settings, for all levels of associates throughout the company. Develops and maintains a trusted advisor relationship with internal stakeholders through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of cross-functional projects Manages complex projects, including development of project roadmaps and ensuring the progress of the work product against established objectives, timelines, deliverables, and quality standards Competencies: Demonstrates strong leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to motivate, influence and gain commitment and achieve credibility at all levels of the organization.
