About the Team:
Our Data Lake Engineering Team operates at the heart of Walmart/VIZIO's data strategy, focusing on building scalable data solutions and pipelines. We are committed to leveraging advanced data techniques to unlock business value, drive innovation, and support decision-making across the organization. In this role, you'll play a critical part in enhancing our data infrastructure and delivering high-performance data solutions.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement ETL processes for data integration.
- Manage and optimize data pipelines for analytics and operational use.
- Develop and maintain data models and schemas.
- Utilize SQL, Python, and big data tools to transform and analyze data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven projects.
- Ensure data quality and governance standards are met.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proficiency in Python, Pyspark, SQL, and/or Scala.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Expertise in AWS cloud services and data pipeline tools like Apache Airflow.
- Knowledge of big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Strong understanding of data formats like Avro, Parquet, and JSON.
- Hands-on experience in full-stack web development and REST APIs.
- A BS or MS in Computer Science or a similar relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering and cloud-based ecosystems.
You will also receive PTO and/or PPTO that can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes. The amount you receive depends on your job classification and length of employment. It will meet or exceed the requirements of paid sick leave laws, where applicable.

The annual salary range for this position is $99,000.00-$198,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
