Manages the departmental calendar by integrating the designated category calendar into the milestone calendar; partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure product approval dates are aligned with in-store delivery deadlines; communicating changes to the technical design calendar to departmental staff and strategic partners ; and integrating approved calendar exceptions to achieve departmental objectives within existing deadlines.
Ensures necessary tools are created and implemented across product categories by leveraging knowledge of brand portfolio strategy to determine and approve best practices for productivity and efficiency; overseeing the development of tools and specifications; and ensuring tools and standards are communicated to key business partners .
Directs product approval work flow for apparel categories by developing and maintaining relationships with strategic partners ; overseeing and providing direction for fit assessments; partnering with teams to ensure production samples meet standards; guiding in-store quality audits; and forecasting future work flow requirements based on anticipated product growth.
Directs processes for on-boarding new suppliers and maintaining existing suppliers by ensuring apparel process approval guidelines are developed, implemented, and maintained across the supplier matrix; hosting supplier training and feedback and learning sessions; overseeing internal metrics to track supplier performance and ensure the accuracy of key performance indicators; and communicating supplier performance to business partners .
Develops the product performance strategy for apparel categories by ensuring current regulatory and industry standards are incorporated into product specification packages; and aligning with strategic partners to provide onshore and offshore direction in order to deliver strategy, drive efficiencies, and optimize time to market .
Owns all aspects of assuring quality through performance testing. Directs detailed business processes for requesting, testing, reporting product acceptance to established standards to include supplier guidelines, independent laboratory guidelines and performance protocols, Oversee and verify suppliers in meeting current/applicable/achievable performance standards for designated area of responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Textiles , Design, or related field and 5 years’ experience in technical design, product development, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in technical design, product development, or related area. 3 years’ supervisory experience.
