What you'll do at

Walmart US eCommerce is seeking a bright, talented and self-motivated senior manager to support Walmart.com and be the finance lead for Art.com – the newest brand in Walmart eCommerce’s portfolio. The prospective candidate will be responsible for all financial aspects of the Art.com business, partnering closely with the Art.com CEO to deliver the Year 1 financial targets. As a result, this role will require spending several days a week in Emeryville with the Art.com CEO and key business partners. Responsibilities include: • Financial Planning and Analysis – Develop annual and long-range business plans. Prepare forecast updates on revenue, profit and other measures. Analyze financial performance and prepare and present financial summaries and business insights to executives. • Decision Support – Evaluate business decisions and investment opportunities through detailed business plan development. Help management make appropriate decisions regarding sales growth and profitability. • Business Partnering – Interact regularly with senior management teams to help them define and enable business strategies. Respond to requests, asking the right questions to determine what data is really needed. Partner with management to continuously improve business decisions and results as well as improve the quality of data on which decisions are made. Develop and leverage internal and external networks to maximize the achievement of business goals. • Leadership – This position requires strong leadership and influence skills. Develop, implement and improve existing financial processes to enhance business performance. The ability to jump in and help in a wide variety of projects and programs is required. • Attracts and inspires a high performing business analytics team • Drives development and execution of short and long-term business strategies and partnerships which exceed customer expectations across various channels • Manage a team responsible for designing and performing complex multi-variable analyses, on a continuous and ad-hoc basis, to determine resolutions that clarify and address operational and business concerns • Own and create new strategies for developing performance customer analytics, including managing the team to produce weekly and monthly reports that support business efforts and highlight key insights and trends • Set up procedure and coach the team to run high-quality business analyses and primary research that uncover insights and support recommendations on long-term strategy The ideal candidate would have: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics • 7+ years of relevant financial management experience including planning, forecasting, analyzing, reporting and business partnering • Entrepreneurial and hands-on professional • Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships • Attention to detail and the ability to deal with ambiguity • Creative problem solver with high intellectual curiosity and strong analytical & financial modeling abilities • Excel and PowerPoint super user • Knowledge of SQL and experience with big data • Experience with systems such as Essbase, Tableau, etc. This experience would be a plus: • MBA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics • MBA from top tier business school and/or CPA qualification • Experience working in a start-up environment • Experience with pricing and cost accounting • Retail/e-commerce experience • Success in attracting, inspiring and retaining a high performing team of 3-4 business analysts #LI-MY1 Minimum Qualifications...Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position.
