What you'll do at

Oversees associates in the Produce and Floral area by assigning duties; communicating goals; teaching and supporting company policies and procedures; ensuring compliance; and participating in the hiring process of associates. Cleans the Produce and Floral area (for example, windows, mirrors, display cases and coolers) while following company procedures, guidelines, and methods, and utilizing approved chemicals, supplies, tools, and equipment. Maintains the presentation and organization of the Produce and Floral Department by assisting Members with purchasing decisions; inspecting merchandise to ensure it is fresh, clean, and presentable; stocking merchandise; setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays; signing and pricing merchandise appropriately; securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise; processing reworks; and removing damaged merchandise Maintains the Sales Floor in the Produce and Floral area in accordance with Company policies and procedures by properly handling claims and returns; zoning the area; arranging and organizing merchandise; adjusting sales floor display space; monitoring backroom inventory; and identifying shrink and damages. Provides Member service by acknowledging the Member and identifying their needs; assisting with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving issues and concerns; and promoting the Company's products and services. Performs competition shopping in accordance with company and legal policies and procedures by utilizing appropriate equipment and tools, completing and maintaining lists and reports; and communicating changes and issues to management. Provides Floral products and services to Members by arranging, pricing, rotating, and stocking merchandise; assisting Members with purchasing decisions, taking special orders, and ensuring merchandise is fresh, clean, and presentable Receives and stocks merchandise in the Produce and Floral area, and organizes and maintains the Produce and Floral area by following Company procedures; utilizing equipment appropriately; merchandising appropriately; processing load quality and product quality claims; and completing paperwork, logs, and other required documentation Follows Company policies and procedures for preparing, handling, packaging, labeling, and storing food by maintaining an in-depth knowledge of Produce commodities; operating and sanitizing food-related equipment, stocking and displaying food products, and maintaining and cleaning the Fresh Department Maintains safety of facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, following proper forklift spotting procedures, following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, following company steel standard guidelines, and correcting/reporting unsafe situations to management Minimum Qualifications...Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 1 year’s experience in produce industry or related field. 1 year’s experience in produce quality control inspection or related field.
