What you'll do at

Meets expected facility level shrink goals by implementing, executing, and managing shrink strategies and initiatives; monitoring and evaluating the inventory flow process including backroom scorecard, store tours, and systemic tools in order to develop recommendations for improvements; analyzing data to determine trends in order to identify concerns (for example, organized retail crime rings); conducting and ensuring implementation of asset protection training (for example, inventory control processes, malicious versus non-malicious shrink differentiation); ensuring that proper facility controls are in place; analyzing and integrating gathered information to identify risks and prioritize efforts; and managing criminal deterrence and investigation initiatives associated with shrink. Minimizes financial risk by executing and managing risk mitigation programs; monitoring merchandise categories for proper execution of deterrence techniques and use of equipment to ensure sales are maximized; conducting internal and external investigations on financial losses and unethical behavior in facilities; conducting store tours to assess program effectiveness; and managing the execution of national priorities associated with financial risk. Builds and maintains partnerships with business leaders to ensure the asset protection (AP) function meets business needs by advising operations, including market level and store management, on AP solutions, policies and procedures; managing the day to day functions of the Asset Protection Coordinator (APC) program; monitoring the day to day functions of the Asset Protection Associate (APA) program; incorporating information into operations AP strategy and initiatives; providing consultation and recommendations on how to address AP concerns and mitigate risk; creating plans and processes that directly address business unit AP gaps; and providing guidance to the AP team and associates in order to ensure consistency across the market. Drives Asset Protection (AP) results across the facilities by evaluating programs and adapting them to store and market specific needs; executing and managing plans and practices; analyzing trends and metrics; communicating and enforcing company policies and procedures related to AP (for example, workplace safety, fire protection); assisting in the administration of training in the facilities; conducting regular store tours and audits to ensure AP metrics, programs, and measures are in place and being executed; and ensuring the execution of company programs associated with AP. Ensures facilities in the business area are prepared for crises by building and sustaining trusting, collaborative relationships and alliances with government and non-governmental agencies; representing the company to the media at store level for asset protection related events; informing managers of various potential crisis situations and the appropriate ways to respond including advising managers on detailed emergency procedures and contingency plans; identifying the need for event management plans; and approving and ensuring execution of event management plans for key events.
