What you'll do at

Develops and implements long-range joint business plans with key strategic suppliers for multiple complex and high growth categories and departments by developing relationships with C-level supplier contacts; leading supplier meetings on behalf of Walmart.com; representing the online channel at supplier summits; defining and ensuring adherence to online supplier evaluation standards; providing multi-channel input on the supplier matrix; developing strategic alliances with suppliers; resolving supplier issues; and ensuring supplier performance. Oversees the development of store prototypes by using demographic and geographic attributes to determine appropriate prototype for specific store groups; working with cross-functional teams to ensure stores meet the needs of specific store groups; creating macro-space solutions; ensuring merchandise adjacency needs are addressed; reviewing micro-space and category plans; and overseeing development of visual merchandising plans. Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas. Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy. Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent. Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning. Oversees the research, analysis, and modification of departmental projects by reviewing the application and relevance to specific store groups and webpages; evaluating programs and projects to provide recommendations for increased performance; and monitoring the implementation of newly revised programs and projects. Directs merchandising strategies to grow loyalty, shopping frequency, and basket size by directing data gathering and research strategies based on identified needs; researching and analyzing best practices; and working with other cross-functional teams to develop and recommend changes to existing merchandising strategies. Leads strategic business initiatives beyond direct financial accountability impacting company by identifying, aligning, and securing cross-functional resources; identifying opportunities across business units to add new value; ensuring the execution of initiatives; and providing updates to executive management.
