Senior Manager II, Business Intelligence and Insights-Transportation

What you'll do at

The Senior Manager II, Business Intelligence and Insights-Transportation will lead a team for transforming the way we take data to insights in Walmart Transportation by adopting best practices and creating fast, friendly user access to data and data visualization. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: · Consults with internal and external organizations on complex projects impacting multiple functions and strategic initiatives by developing high-level project plans to achieve strategic goals; prioritizing and executing work streams within corporate strategies; integrating and prioritizing timelines, tasks, analysis, and team assignments; and ensuring proper planning, testing, and delivery of high-level strategic initiatives. Leads change from concept to implementation to achieve desired results by identifying and defining transformational change and processes; validating value and priority; developing plans to implement processes; assessing people's readiness for change; managing expectations; ensuring timely project management from pilot to the execution stage; and implementing sustainable processes throughout the business unit. Develops innovation strategies, processes, and best practices by leading an internal team; partnering with cross-functional teams across the business; assessing key opportunities; documenting project scopes; developing long-range plans and project timelines; and communicating with and influencing decision makers and executives within the organization. Drives accountability to achieve goals within a cross-functional area by developing strong relationships with stakeholders; influencing strategy directions and deliverables, recommending and gaining acceptance of technical and conceptual plans; and reporting results and deliverables to supervisors and stakeholders. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events. The ideal candidate will have past experience with visualization, data processing, team leadership, and be able to design a complex analytics strategy and process from start to finish. Familiarity with SQL, R, Alteryx, Java, Hadoop, Tableau, or Looker is a plus. Minimum Qualifications...Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position.
