What You'll Do

You will be a part of small agile team of highly motivated and talented engineers. This team not just only builds and maintains services platform (building block for all of our micro services), but also responsible for building ecommerce features like Catalog and Search. As part of this group, you have an opportunity to explore latest technologies to solve complex business problems. At the same time, you have resources available of Fortune one company.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, implement and test scalable, performant restful microservices as per the business and technical requirements
  • Build core platform features needed across services stack like configuration management, services discovery and registration, feature flags
  • Envision and implement core ecommerce services like Catalog, Search, Order capture and fulfillment
  • Perform code review, mentor junior engineers, work with other team members to propagate best practices, and industry conventions
  • Analyze and debug production issues on the services/ artifacts owned by team
  • Stay up to date on new technologies and use that knowledge to build systems to solve business problems

Must Haves

  • College graduate with a BA/BS in Computer Science, MIS, related technical field or equivalent work experience
  • Five years of professional experience in Core Java required, preferably with Java 8+
  • Experience producing and consuming RESTful services
  • Experience designing and building distributed systems and microservices
  • Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) and No SQL databases (like Cassandra)
  • Experience building and scaling for high volume and high traffic system
  • Proven ability to work independently; designing, developing and deploying solutions, and to deliver projects on time with minimal direction
  • Ability to work seamlessly within a team as well as manage individual tasks
  • Experience with versioning tools like Git or SVN

Nice to Haves

  • Experience working with Spring framework – including Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Eureka, Ribbon
  • Experience with Java-build tools
  • Experience working with Consul, Vault
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks and continuous integration tools
  • Experience with frameworks for documenting APIs (Swagger, IO Docs)
  • Experience in cloud systems (AWS, Azure, GCP)
