Strategic Initiatives: Drives the vision and strategy for an area within supply chain (e.g., engineering, product delivery, facilities) in support of company objectives. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities and optimize supply chain strategy.
Supply Chain Process Improvement: Drafts strategies to improve existing processes and ensures strategic supply chain initiatives are executed across multiple areas within supply chain to support Walmart's overall business objectives (growth, profit, cross-category strategy, etc.).
Research and Analysis: Provides overall direction for analytical processes and tools, ensuring consistency in application and accuracy of final results vs. other analysis done within the supply chain organization. Defines expected outcomes of strategic supply chain initiatives for a business area (e.g., impact on ROI, expense and capacity models, slotting and replenishment analyses and process flow analyses) and identifies areas for improvement.
Collaboration: Socializes strategy and process improvement opportunities with other Directors across cross-functional teams and the Executive Team to ensure buy-in for recommendations as necessary. Ensures collaboration with external business partners and vendors.
People Development: Ensures associates are receiving learning and development opportunities (e.g., training, mentoring) for the good of the associate and Walmart. Coaches team members and provides feedback to enhance skills, knowledge and work performance. Mentors managers and less experienced associates.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Research, Engineering or related field AND 4 years’ experience in operations, business development, consulting, investment banking , information technology, merchandising, or related field, OR 6 years’ experience in operations, business development, consulting, investment banking, information technology, merchandising, or related field.
2 years supervisory experience.
Master’s degree in Operations Research, Engineering, Business (MBA) or related field.
4 years’ supervisory experience.
