Walmart.com is looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Investment Strategy of  Display & Paid Social to join our Marketing team.  This individual will support holistic media strategy and planning specific to display & paid social channels. As an Investment Strategist, you will be responsible for the development of display & paid social strategies and media buys that will deliver business goals.  You will drive innovation at both the strategic and campaign level, and cultivate key partnerships to deliver the best digital media opportunities across display & paid social.

The person who holds this position is expected to have a firm grasp of the advertising ecosystem and to be a steward of the entire planning process. You will have significant exposure to campaign strategy, tactical optimization, analytics, reporting, and broader company objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Acquire comprehensive understanding of the marketing team’s overarching objectives and understand what media initiatives tie to their business goals.
  • Work with marketing, and display & paid social teams to establish media objectives, and strategies for campaigns.
  • Develop and manage holistic display & paid social media plans, including buy recommendations, maintaining budgets, and working closely with activation teams to ensure that media plans are executed smoothly.
  • Co-ordinate media executions and plans between stores marketing team and e-commerce marketing teams to improve overall efficacy of Walmart media dollars for display & paid social channels
  • Analyze media performance to recommend how to optimize media budget across display & paid social channels.
  • Develop and apply a working knowledge of basic media concepts, terminology, attribution models and media plan execution
  • Form strong working bond with category marketers to become their trusted strategic partner.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop creative leveraging digital best practices & optimize executions while in market based on performance data.
  • Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics

About you:

  • 5+ years experience working in an agency/marketing environment, 3+ years in a digital marketing or media role
  • Experience in direct response marketing. Hands on knowledge of marketing disciplines: acquisition, retention, loyalty, brand, media, creative, content, product marketing and partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of display & paid social partners, targeting and optimizations related to objective-based performance.
  • Proven ability to work with data to understand and analyze performance, optimize plans, make quick decisions and measure impact to the business.
  • Excellent and persuasive communication skills; able to clearly articulate and sell your strategies in relatable and convincing ways.
  • Risk-taker, comfortable in fast-paced environment; go-getter, capable of managing multiple projects, priorities.
  • BA/BS degree with strong academic record.
