About the Job

We are building out our strategic finance team dedicated to the financial management and improvement of the business. Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist in strategic change management of operational procedures and data availability to drive increased improvement, consistency and transparency of financial performance metrics
    • Generate and review financial reports including daily/monthly sales and margin results, inventory costing, inventory allowances, etc. to identify areas of focus and development
    • Liaise with operations, supply chain and fulfillment business process owners to identify any data or process limitations
    • Generate descript, quantifiable and achievable resolutions and drive change with necessary parties, both internal and external
    • Capture data from revised operational procedures into reporting tools
    • Perform necessary periodic reviews to ensure data integrity and continued performance of implemented resolutions
  • For new business initiatives, work with both upstream and downstream parties to ensure operational and financial performance can be achieved, measured and properly captured for both financial performance evaluation and US GAAP reporting purposes
    • Ensure costs and risks are appropriately addressed, data can be fully captured and processed, and necessary approvals are obtained
    • Work with Accounting and Finance team members to process needed changes required to appropriately record and report new activity
  • Facilitate with synergy recognition with related parties for business activities including merchandising, supply chain and logistics, technology, etc.
  • Provide additional ad-hoc analysis and support as needed

About You

  • You have 4+ years of relevant finance experience, prior retail or e-commerce experience preferred
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting/finance or other analytical area
  • You have strong Excel, SQL and analytical skills
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to work with people
  • You have a strong attention to detail with big picture orientation
  • You have a demonstrated passion for working with data to solve complex problems
  • You are a structured and organized thinker who can solve problems with minimal direction
  • You are unfazed by the challenges of developing processes from the scratch
  • Practical experience using analytics to address business problems
