We deliver for online retailers looking to improve their customer experience, with services like same-day delivery and scheduled evening delivery. Operations Manager

Parcel is seeking a disciplined, analytical, and experienced Operations Manager to join our amazing team. We’re looking for a resourceful, efficient, and detail-oriented logistics pro who's excited to build, refine, and execute operations through our breakneck growth.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing and implementing scalable processes for routing, staffing, delivery operations, and package processing/sorting/storage
  • Assisting with driver management, dispatch duties, and delivery supervision
  • Leading our team to ensure a smooth operation on a daily basis and act as a point of escalation for any issues that arise
  • Managing the expansion and maintenance of company fleet and facilities
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with our vendors and clients and overseeing day-to-day communications with relevant parties

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations management with 2+ years of people management
  • Natural leadership instinct: you have a demonstrated ability to manage operational teams with patience, tact, and discipline
  • Eagerness to get your feet wet in all types of operations: you love jumping from one project to the next and are excited by a multi-faceted role
  • Exceptional (and perhaps obsessive) attention to detail: you never let anything slip through the cracks
  • Extreme resourcefulness: you have a rare knack for getting amazing things done quickly, cheaply, and independently
  • Commitment to hard work and irregular hours: you understand what being at a high-growth startup means and aren't scared away by a 24/7 operation
  • Impeccable communication skills: you speak and write articulately with a focus on efficiency and clarity

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in transportation and/or e-commerce fulfillment
  • Experience in a startup or other high-growth environment
  • Mastery of Excel / Google Sheets
  • Current driver’s license
