Creative Ops Project Manager:

Walmart is looking for a digitally savvy Project Manager that thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our Fashion Team.  This position manages the day-to-day workflow of digital creative projects including but not limited to website campaigns and updates, social media, emails, online banners ads and site content while working cross functionally to ensure that quality deliverables are produced on time. 

The position requires extreme attention to detail, ability to build out comprehensive project plans and timelines, and influence partners without having direct authority over them. The ideal candidate is process oriented, has expertise in project management, and is familiar with marketing concepts and programs.   Must be excited to be at the forefront of the changing landscape of business.

Responsibilities

  • Manage creative projects from conception through delivery. Work with internal Walmart clients to gather project scope, deliverables, timelines, budgets and deadlines.
  • Develop milestones and schedules for projects and work with creative resources to ensure work stays on track and meets deadlines/budgets
  • Work with key departments including Marketing, Editorial, Creative and Merchandising throughout the progress of projects to ensure any shifts in programming are addresses and projects are adjusted accordingly
  • Build and manage workflow processes and capacity across cross-functional teams
  • Work with partners in other areas of the business to align on process improvements, and cross-department roadmap alignment
  • Proactively keep team members on deadlines in an effective but positive way
  • Understand and identify key inter-dependencies and critical path tasks, as well as anticipate potential issues
  • Distill and translate complex information into clear takeaways and actions for the team
  • Manage project scope and change control and escalate issues where necessary to management with proposals of next steps / solutions
  • Performs management of the risks of the project, including the development of contingency plans
  • Secure creative approvals with Head of Editorial / Creative and prepare files and presentation to SVP
  • Internal systems expert; Advocates for creative system workflow enhancements on behalf of Fashion team
  • Assist in writing, implementing and training of new creative processes
  • Manage day-to-day operations and business expectations
  • Document feedback and review change requests and iteration schedule
  • Prioritize projects based on importance and complexity, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Establish a structure for meeting with senior leadership and multiple functional teams; responsible for scheduling and running all meetings related to Fashion Creative Workflow
  • Work closely with all project stakeholders

 

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years project management experience working in ecommerce fashion / luxury field or advertising agency
  • Ability to multi-task and simultaneously complete multiple projects
  • Highly organized and self-disciplined with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and resources
  • Exceptional, clear communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented, efficient, self-starter, highly productive and collaborative approach to work
  • Knowledge and understanding of digital production processes
  • Capacity to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong written & oral communication and presentation skills
  • A track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Managed and worked with cross-functional teams (creative, editorial, business) who are often distributed across offices
  • Demonstrated a can-do attitude
  • Knowledge of project management principles, methods and techniques
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
