Facilities/Maintenance Lead

About the Job

You are responsible for all routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair in the fulfillment center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Perform minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance procedures on building mechanical equipment on a scheduled basis
  • Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures
  • Assist with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repair plaster and drywall; paint building structures
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
  • Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures
  • May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed
  • Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each
  • Operate various powered equipment 
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head 
  • Continual standing and/or walking an average of 5 miles daily 
  • Ability to work in construction /distribution environments that may be noisy, unlit, unheated, not air-conditioned 
  • Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation)  

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair
  • Strong mechanical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to clearly assign and communicate direction to associates and follow up upon completion of tasks
  • Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and/or overnight shifts if required by business need 
  • Previous experience leading a team of people
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Experience with Outlook and Microsoft Office package
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must be able to pass Jet powered equipment certification
  • Must have a full point at when the position closes
  • Must have completed a HireVue in the past 6 months. If you have not done so you must complete one within 48 hours of applying
