What you'll do at

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer professional in our San Bruno, CA office.

Duties: Develop the backend of the administrative interface. Architect, design and build the REST API in Golang that manages the configurations of several internal systems. Manage Walmart’s MySQL schema and database design. Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Software Engineering and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans. Participates in medium- to large-scale projects. Participates in the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design. Works with small groups of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects. Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions. Provides support to the business. Troubleshoots business and production issues.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience building scalable backend systems and/or performance related experience.

Skills required: Experience with Golang, Java, JavaScript, PHP, Bash Programming. Representational State Transfer (RESTful) Web Services experience. Database Data Modeling and Design experience. MySQL Administration, Controlled Structure change, and Recovery experience. Distributed Systems Design and Architecture experience. Virtualization with Docker, Vagrant experience. Experience with Linux Operating System Administration. Application Reliability, Test Driven Development, End to End Testing experience. Application Security, Authentication, Authorization, PCI Compliance experience. Experience with Technical Writing. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
