What you'll do at

We are seeking a Software QA Engineer professional in our Sunnyvale, CA office.

Duties: Be responsible for large-scale database testing and tool development in Agile environment. Interact with business and engineering team to provide high quality testing solutions to business and engineering problems. Perform quality assurance testing for large-scale, eCommerce web applications, tools, and software. Use test automation tools and manual testing to execute test plans and identify defects prior to release. Work with Customer Support to reproduce defects reported by customers. Provide and support the implementation of business testing solutions. Provide solutions for coding errors and support code development for eCommerce projects. Be responsible for defining Entry/Exit Criteria for QA as well as creating automated tests for repetitive tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering (Any) or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept 2 years of QA experience.

Experience required: 4 years of QA experience.

Skills required: Experience in using performance management tool Jira. Experience in gathering requirements from business and developers to develop complex test plans. Experience in creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Experience in analysis, design, and performance of API testing and automation scripts using JSON. Experience in analysis, design, and performance of UI testing and automation scripts using CSS, XPATHS. Experience in preparing release documentation for requirements and test stories using JIRA. Experience in Gray Box Testing, Regression Testing, Manual Testing, Functional Testing, Usability Testing, System testing, and monitoring logs using PUTTY, JAVA, Selenium. Experience with test management tool TestRail. Experience with managing Jenkins and Jenkins plugins. Experience with automation using tools like selenium and TestNG. Experience with NoSQL and Couchbase data platform. Experience with Cassandra. Experience in enterprise software, web technologies, distributed systems, and cloud computing platforms. Experience with cloud applications, deployment models and demonstrated knowledge with one major cloud provider. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
