What you'll do

We are seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager professional in our San Bruno, CA office.

Duties: Develop program/project/release plans and timelines (usually involving multiple tracks), monitor execution progress and drives resolution to possible scope/time trade-offs. Manage portfolio of projects through their lifecycle phases to successful completion. Be responsible for code quality, timely releases, and operational excellence of the systems. Work with geographically distributed teams and third-party vendors for successful program launch. Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates to improve program productivity. Address program bottlenecks, provides alternative resolutions and mitigation strategies with win/win outcomes. Establish and maintain clear chains of accountability for program team. Conduct training and outreach to internal support teams as well as external customers. Interface and communicate with executive, business and technical Stakeholders. Negotiate program delivery timelines with stakeholders. Ensure ongoing communication of progress against project/program objectives to various forums. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience with enterprise software development and life cycle management. Employer will accept 2 years of experience in enterprise software development and life cycle management in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

Skills required: Experience developing product roadmaps. Experience with enterprise software development for the Retail industry. Experience deploying enterprise software with high availability and scalability. Experience in Agile and waterfall software development methodologies. Strong development skills with Java and data structures. Experience with code quality analysis. Experience building high volume multi-threaded systems. Experience with large scale databases. Experience with cloud computing. Experience setting up processes for product managers, developers and project managers. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
