What you'll do

We are seeking a Staff Mobile QA Engineer professional in our San Bruno, CA office.

Duties: Demonstrate expertise in field of building automation test frameworks for applications implemented using mobile platforms or service oriented architectures. Demonstrate experience driving complex testing problems and provide technical solutions to help development and test teams move faster and be more productive. Lead testing activities for an iterative release schedule for clients or services layer which include participating in product requirement reviews, design implementation discussions, engaging early in development life cycle, proposing QA estimates and schedules and planning, executing and meeting over all QA deliverables. Identify impact of features and updates on different platforms (services and mobile) for each release from a test automation standpoint and implements / updates test automation use cases. Demonstrate experience testing and automating client and services applications for various types of tests (functional, integration, performance etc.). Develop and improve test automation methods and processes and overall quality of testing deliverables. Apply latest trends of mobile testing to day-to-day challenges and execution. Identify and communicate issues/risks applying technical and root cause analysis skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), or related field and 5 years of experience developing software or test automation frameworks.

Skills required: Experience developing and maintaining Appium Test Automation Framework for iOS and Android apps. Experience setting up local DeviceLab using Guerilla to execute functional and monkey testing on iOS and Android. Demonstrated knowledge of Mobile Performance Metrics such as Cold Start Time, Frames Per Sec (FPS), Memory Usage, Battery, and Power Consumption. Experience with Mac and Windows desktop applications automation using Sikuli. Experience developing REST API automation framework using Rest-Assured and Jersey. Demonstrated knowledge of Unit Testing using Mockito and Robolectric frameworks. Experience developing and maintaining test suites in at least one additional framework, such as XCTest or Robotium. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
