What you'll do

We are seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer III professional in our Sunnyvale, CA office.

Duties: Participate in the design and implementation process for new and existing products. Define and implement black-box, gray-box and white-box and automated testing suites for core technologies, products and web-based applications. Develop and maintain test scripts. Write and maintain test automation scripts where applicable. Focus on automation first approach. Test data and perform business applications Functional System and Integration (End-to-End) tests for new and existing applications. Participate in review and approval processes for project deliverables. Advise project teams on appropriate approaches to testing delivered products, including test tool sets. Provide guidance to development and project teams on the creation of a Master Test Plan and other testing-related deliverables. Assist project teams on identifying the needs for appropriate test environments; coordinate the establishment of appropriate test environments. Oversee processes for identifying, tracking and reporting the results of test procedures. Assist in populating and maintaining regression test databases. Perform regression testing using existing scripts. Responsible for finding, tracking and prioritizing bugs and driving toward their resolution. Define and track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. Participate in the testing of Production Emergency Bug Fixes. Develop and deploy minor bug fixes and functional feature enhancements to existing REST services. Develop performance test scripts and measure critical system metrics to operate at scale.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any), Information Technology or related field and 3 years of experience testing distributed eCommerce platforms, web applications, and APIs.

Skills required: Selenium WebDriver experience. TestNG experience. Experience developing with Java and JavaScript. Gatling experience. Jmeter experience. Experience developing unit tests with Junit. Unix Scripting experience. Experience with databases like Oracle and SQL. Demonstrated knowledge of REST Web Services. Spring, Hibernate Framework, and SOA Architecture experience. Experience with GIT. Functional Test Automation experience. Experience scripting for automated execution of functional test automation. Performance test automation experience. Demonstrated knowledge of Agile Methodology. Experience with Quality Engineering Tools such as Maven, Jenkins, and JIRA. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
