What you'll do

The InfoSec Decision Automation (IDA) team delivers advanced, data-driven services to enable scalable, risk-based vulnerability management for Walmart. The team partners across penetration testing, vulnerability management, and risk assessment areas to introduce new and emerging technologies. IDA manages systems with a global scope across our stores and eCommerce businesses.

IDA is looking for a new Security Engineer that has a passion for developing solutions and solving problems. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in security with a consultative approach to working with others. This role is a full-stack development role with exposure to API development and use, UI development, SQL, and HDFS technologies.

This role:
• Develops and maintains a custom C# application used for security test reporting and management.
• Builds and maintains executive security dashboards and reporting across security data sources
• Develops, documents, and maintains secure code across different languages including, but not limited to, C#, SQL, and JavaScript.
• Delivers data integration by implementing shared data sources, developing and modifying code to export, transform, and load data
• Develops data connections using REST or SOAP APIs to various security tools
• Studies data sources by interviewing users; defining, analyzing, and validating data objects; identifying the relationship among data objects.
• Translates requirements into technical solutions and then delivers them in an Agile manner.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Designs and implements new UIs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field OR equivalent experience
- 3 years of development experience in a modern language (C#, Java, Python, etc.)
- 2 years of experience with SQL
- Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
- CISSP or other security certification
- C# MVC experience
- UI / UX design and development experience
- Demonstrated ability to learn new programming languages or technologies
