What you'll do

We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer professional in our Sunnyvale, CA office.

Duties: Analyze requirements, design and implement infrastructure solutions for e-Commerce fraud detection and prevention platform. Innovate and create new, out-of-the-box solutions for existing pain points and new projects. Interact with application teams, architects, and PMs to design and implement new functionality. Plan scalability/capacity architecture to support business growth and participate in Failure Point Analysis. Provide automation solutions and on-call support. Support for Various OS related issues on Solaris, Linux, and VMware. Work on Openstack Cloud large scale storage solutions. Create and implement various automation tools for e-commerce platform development, testing, deployment, monitoring and alerting.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any) or related field and 2 years of software engineering experience or related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (Any) or related field and 5 years of software engineering experience or related experience.

Skills required: Experience with Linux/Unix Systems and Linux Internals and kernel and tunings to optimize performance of Linux System. Experience with Java and J2EE applications. Infrastructure Automation experience using Chef, Puppet and Ansible. Experience with troubleshooting and performance tuning in JVM, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, HAProxy. Experience with setting up a whole network infrastructure, configuring and troubleshooting networking issues. Experience in bootstrap production and non-prod environments in multi-region clouds using Openstack. Experience with setting up monitoring tools, e.g. Nagios, GrayLog, Logstash. Experience with Amazon Web Services. Experience with Jenkins. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
