What you'll do

  • Develops and implements strategy for multiple or complex departments or categories
  • Drives alignment across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of business objectives
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects for the Walmart.com merchandising/services area
  • Ensures business needs are being met
  • Manages multiple or complex product or service assortment and delivery channels
  • Oversees and directs the creation and execution of new feature and product development roadmaps
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

Minimum Qualifications

• Analytical Thinking
o Do they have an analytical (not necessarily mathematical) approach to solving problems?
o Do they attack problems with a structured approach?
o Are they afraid to dive into complex or mathematical problems? Will they dive into the depths?
They need not have an analytics background, but should not be afraid to get into the details of issues and be able to come up with an informed decision

• Ownership
o Willingness to solve problems, including the root causes regardless of job specification
o History of getting results individually

• Communication and Gravitas
o Do they have the ability to line up against peers (ie. GMs)?
o Can they communicate effectively with peers or executives?
o Can they drive action in a heavily matrixed environment?

• Fit & Energy
o Can she/he work will in a fast paced startup(like) environment?
o Does she/he have the flexibility and resilience to work in such a dynamic place?
o Does she/he have a bias for action?
o Are they high energy?
