Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Information Systems Division (ISD) infrastructure and applies this to the development, execution, and
improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and
aligning efforts to meet Customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales
Manages small projects by assuming ownership of project deliverables; delegating tasks to other team members; ensuring the completion of project
tasks assigned to team members; managing groups of tasks associated with large projects; completing project documentation in accordance with
program management office guidelines; sharing project management knowledge with team members; participating in Customer meetings;
representing projects to the area project council; and updating Customers and management on project status.
Resolves network infrastructure issues and problems by troubleshooting and diagnosing problems; providing network support; taking corrective action
to address performance problems; supporting large-scale, cross-department production issues; resolving support problems in a timely manner;
providing updates to Customers, project leads, and management team on problem resolution status; and driving supplier participation during problem
Enhances the network infrastructure by monitoring network performance via available network tools; writing change control installation plans;
installing network hardware; assisting team members with network changes; working with suppliers and senior team members to review system
performance; identifying and recommending improvements to network alerts and monitors; recommending improvements to documented procedures;
assisting in network design; assessing potential network problems and identifying solutions; and conducting audits on network rules, alerts, and
monitors on a scheduled basis.
Participates in setting the technical direction for the team by making recommendations; providing input in the development of technology roadmaps;
assisting senior team members in gathering business and technical requirements to support new network implementations; participating in the
evaluation of supplier products; implementing best practices; and informing senior management of impactful issues.
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by
incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others
with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business
needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on
improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
RF Knowledge on 802.11 Technologies including 2.4GHz and 5GHz spectrums. Understanding of client dependency on wireless infrastructure and performance understanding as related to the wireless infrastructure.
Extensive experience building enterprise network solutions using multiple routing protocols.
Strong knowledge of QoS and multicast technologies. Experience with VOIP and wireless technologies
CWNA and at least one professional CWNP certification or CCIE-Wireless
Design, plan, establish, and optimize wireless networks
Develop wireless network infrastructures and make recommendations on systems enhancements for optimization
Design and build custom applications
Use measuring and diagnostic tools to test and adjust equipment
Create manuals and support documentation
Design and validate RF link performance, quality and reliability
Solid knowledge of the RF design principals and experience with site survey tools, methodologies and industry best practices
Analyze and troubleshoot complex Wi-Fi and networking issues
Train and mentor other engineers
Conduct Proof Of Concepts and benchmark testing
