What you'll do at

As part of the newly created Data Strategy and Enablement Team (DS&E), this role will be an enabler of our journey to be the world’s leading data-driven retailer. As part of this transformation, we are seeking an individual who will be responsible for technical project management of the data acquisition initiatives – including both sources and services – activities acrossthe DS&E team to elevate our acquisition activity as well as the internal processes to support data sourcing.We are looking for a highly motivated, resourceful, team-oriented individual to drive the data project management activities across the data acquisition process. You will be leading the delivery efforts on multiple data acquisition and implementation projects providing project management leadership in an agile manner. You will also be involved in ensuring the projects are executed in compliance to the company standard tools and processes while working with internal and external product, technical and other stakeholders.The Project Manager role will report to the Director, Data Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

Manage data acquisition focused project activities for multiple projects across all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control and closure
- Drive project activities, including, but not limited to:
Project schedules, Detailed project plans, Project scope statements, Cost estimates, Resource plans, Risk and issues logs and Status reports
- Tailor project management, development and support processes to meet the needs of individual (new and/or ongoing) projects
- Manage the day-to-day activities of projects and staff; communicate with project teams as necessary to ensure project deliverables are on schedule and within cost parameters
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers as needed in regard to project deliverables including managing expectations, presenting and interfacing with sponsors
- Make decisions and communicate trade-offs and risks; drive key decisions across projects
- Manage resource planning and organizational capacity planning
- Coach and train project team members on Software Development processes and best practices
- Manage up to 3 Scrum teams of 5 to 7 team members each to execute projects.
- Demonstrable experience of engagement with Engineering, QA, Data Analysis and product teams


Who you are:
- You have prior experience with leading project management efforts across a variety of data focused projects including data acquisition, ETL, warehousing etc.
- You have good understanding of data sources and understand database concepts and terminology
- You have a demonstrated track record of handling multiple complex sourcing projects and delivering results to meet the project needs
- You are a team player, with the courage to drive change through disruption while maintaining a respect for the team

Requirements:
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, Computer Science or related field
- Seven years of experience in a technology environment, including at least 3-5 years of practical professional experience in project management.
- 5+ years of hands-on Agile experience
- Experience with JIRA, leading scrum teams
- eCommerce or Retail experience preferred
- Experience leading data acquisition, ETL focused data projects and a fundamental understanding of data systems programming and development.
- Experience managing multiple dependencies in project and program delivery
- Ability to guide multiple scrum teams concurrently
- Proficient with MS Project or similar software and MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams
