What you'll do at


  • This position will be on the Walmart Labs Supply Chain team, focused on building mobile applications for Walmart's best in class Warehouse Management System
  • Leads and participates in medium- to large-scale projects
  • Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design
  • Leads the work of other small groups of four to six engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects
  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions
  • Provides support to the business
  • Troubleshoots business and production issue

    Lead and Guide team members
    • Solve difficult business problems using the latest and greatest technology, innovating the future of Supply Chain at Walmart
    • Be given the freedom to try new things and prove the value of your own ideas and innovations and own them all the way to production
    • Build complex, native Android and ReactJS applications for our Supply Chain
    • Effectively manage the balance between your end-users and your business stakeholders
    • Participate in internal hackathons and innovation challenges!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science and 3 years experience in software engineering or related field OR 5 years experience in software engineering or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent skills and ability to decompose a business problem into simple and extensible software solution
• 3+ years of development experience in native Android and Java technologies and/or ReactJS native.
• Familiarity with design patterns, Android architecture components, and clean architecture principles
• Excellent understanding of designing and building scalable, high-availability, distributed (multi-tiered), and concurrent applications
• Experience working with designers to ensure the designed interfaces are implemented correctly
• A deep understanding and emphasis on testing and testing types/methodologies (TDD, BDD, contract testing etc.)
• Ability to learn and adapt new technologies, passion for continuous improvement
• The ability to spin up working prototypes and proof of concepts
• Exposure to continuous build and continuous integration tools
• Released an app to the Google Play store
