What you'll do at

Store/club Communication and Task Planning team provides global platforms for managing store operations utilizing our task management engine and provides a communication channel from Activity Management office based out of Home office to target activities to be executed at stores for WM strategic initiatives.

We are embracing Open Source technology using React.js, Electrode and Node.js to build a front end, mobile experience and backend services for stores in 50 states and Puerto Rico offering low prices on the broadest assortment of products through a variety of formats including the Supercenter, Discount Store and Neighborhood Market.

In our team, you will work with talented engineers across our platforms including mobile engineers, backend service engineers, UX Designer and product managers to shape our road map for our products with vision to help our customers by helping our associates.

Our stack is composed of backend services build in nodeJS , java and our clients built using Angular.js, React.js, iOS (Swift) and Android (Java/Kotlin). We are looking for candidates with production experience in these frameworks

Minimum Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably on large-scale initiatives
• Expertise in nodejs, react.js, redux, advanced shell scripting, Configuration management -Ansible, chef, puppet
• Willingness to learn new technologies and ramp up quickly
• Ability to work in a fast-moving, agile environment
• Experience with unit testing, UI testing and automation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high traffic consumer facing website preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of the following tools/Languages: React, Redux, node.js,.
Java,Javascript, Bash,REST API documentation,Spark (SQL, Streaming), Hadoop Map-Reduce experience. Build Manager (Maven), Distributed Version Control (GIT), Continuous Integration (Jenkins) experience.
• Strong understanding of Distributed Systems.

• Ability to design resilient systems for fault tolerance and high availability

• Solid devops skills in troubleshooting live applications, assessing performance bottlenecks of applications running on Linux.
