What you'll do at

The Director – Business Analysis & Insights, is a member of the Merchandise Operations Team, will lead multiple projects across different geographies, and be responsible for the development of data-driven analysis and insights to help drive business strategies. She / he will conduct complex analyses and work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities across WMT’s portfolio of categories and build action plans and tactics to capture identified opportunities.

• Develops and implements One Best Way of category negotiations, Works with the business to train and teach the developed One Best Way.
• Develops and implements strategies across multiple categories for WMT US Merchandising
• Identifies opportunities to negotiate lower net cost across a wide range of assortment and with complex vendor implications, builds vendor negotiation strategies to capture identified opportunity
• Partners with merchants to enable lower cost negotiation
• Drives alignment across multiple cross-functional teams to ensure the achievement of business objectives, presents business strategies to WMT merchandising leadership to obtain alignment
• Manages multiple or complex product assortment and delivery channel strategies by analyzing business results, information related to product performance, trends, forecasts, competitors, and industry data and identifying actions to drive incremental vendor value opportunities
• Provides data-driven analysis and insights to help drive business strategies
• Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals
• Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity and ensures business needs are being met


Minimum Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
• 4 years supervisory experience.
• Bachelor s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, or related field and 5 years’ experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years consulting experience.
• 4 years’ experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Master s degree in Business or related field.
• Project Management certification.
• Six Sigma certification.
