What you'll do at

• Develop and review forecasting and modeling processes on a regular basis to identify opportunities for forecast accuracy.
• Generate analyses, presentations, and recommendations to drive operational improvements for our outbound forecast.
• Troubleshoot data issues and work with internal business partners to derive and build customized reports or dashboards to investigate opportunities.
• Develop understanding of outbound network and come up with recommendations for improving package forecast and trailer forecast accuracy.
• Develop relationships with Carriers, Wal-Mart Supply Chain teams and Carrier Relations team in Bentonville, and other operational groups to communicate and best leverage accurate forecasting.
• Mature, refine, and report on KPIs to effectively manage forecasting accuracy.


Minimum Qualifications

• Required mastered skills: Tableau, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, SQL and database mining knowledge.
• Preferred skills: KNIME;
• Manages multiple projects at once while ensuring deadlines are met and data output is accurate.
• Utilizes macro skills to build scalable processes and drive automation of daily tasks.
• Ensures integrity and efficiency of reports and data.
• Proven experience leading data driven projects from definition through interpretation and execution stages.

Interpersonal Competencies:
• Capacity to communicate complex concepts in easy-to-understand terminology.
• Effective communication skills to reach multiple levels of the organization, including senior management and cross-functional groups.

Leadership Competencies:
• Ability to champion ideas and influence the organization in order to ensure ideas are executed, especially in scenarios where direct authority is absent.

• Required experience: 1+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or in a business analyst capacity.
• Preferred experience: 2+ years of data management experience, including query development, root-cause analysis, and dashboard optimization
• Bachelors degree in supply chain, business, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or STEM related fields

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of KNIME
• Previous Logistics capacity planning experience
• Forecasting techniques
