What you'll do at
Supports the development of the sourcing strategy by collaborating with business partners (for example, Infrastructure Design, Customer Planning
and Analysis, Global Leverage) to identify category sourcing needs; reviewing industry best practices to gain market intelligence that will drive
category optimization; building and maintaining a portfolio of sourcing initiatives that are aligned with business strategies and with Information
Systems Division's (ISD) strategic goals; reviewing spending for the category; coordinating with chief information officers of international partners; and
i dentifying opportunities to reduce cost and drive efficiencies.
Develops plans to identify opportunities to create value through vendors by building relationships with key industry vendors (for example, SAP, HP,
IBM, Microsoft) to ensure alignment with overall strategy; assessing portfolio (for example, hardware, software, services, telecommunications) to
identify opportunities to lower cost and increase efficiencies; determining internal capabilities and reviewing options available from vendors to solve
business needs; evaluating available options; and developing recommendations on options that are cost efficient and effectively addresses business needs.
Leverages subject matter expertise to direct the development and negotiations of vendor contracts by developing a framework for structuring
contracts to meet overall business strategy; overseeing the development of agreements (for example, service level agreements, software licensing
agreement, purchasing agreement) to ensure alignment and consistency with business strategy; defining and ensuring contracts are in accordance
with pricing strategies; developing negotiation strategies for sourcing teams; evaluating existing contracts to identify opportunities to re-negotiate
contract terms; reviewing and approving revisions to contracts, extensions, and renewal of existing sourcing agreement; and leading negotiation and
finalization of contract terms.
