What you'll do at

The individual in this position will be leading a team in supporting the accounting, financial reporting and internal controls activities of Supply Chain operations, presenting Supply Chain financial results to US eCommerce Controllership leadership and providing accounting-related guidance to Supply Chain management and Operations Finance partners

The areas of responsibility will include but not limited to Inventory, Cost of Goods Sold, Transportation (both inbound and outbound), Reverse Logistics, Fulfillment Center activities, related Vendor Allowances, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Material Transfers and Gross Profit Reconciliation.


Manage a team to provide accounting guidance to business partners, render opinions on the appropriate financial reporting treatment for business initiatives and collaborate with business partners to achieve shared objectives and goals.

Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all Supply Chain transactions into the financial statements, including but not limited to the Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows. Variance reporting of monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet to present to leadership. Review monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations. Perform month-end close financial analytics for various operations-related processes.

Evaluate the controls environment for by providing policies and procedures; evaluate internal controls and assess risks for Accounting and various other areas. This includes ensuring compliance and oversight, liaising with internal and external auditors, and partnering with business owners on new initiatives and development projects. Controllership team initiates and participates in the scoping, design, development and implementation of new and updates to existing systems impacting financial transactions, reporting and related controls at

Partner with cross functional operations business partners for accounting of reverse logistics and inbound/outbound transportation expenses. Estimate and perform analytics to ensure adequate accruals and reserves requirements for related activities are booked timely – monthly/quarterly.

Recommend and implement business solutions for processes and accounts aligning with the Walmart US Stores and other Walmart US eCommerce digital brands.


Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
• 7+ years of accounting experience (Big 4 or Fortune 500 preferred) including 2+ years in related supply chain accounting and minimum 3 years of management/supervisory experience
• Working knowledge and understanding of US GAAP,
• Experience with documenting and executing SOX controls, ideally for Supply Chain-related processes.
• Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, SAP (or similar ERP), BI, Essbase and Smart View

Preferred Qualifications

MBA/CPA preferred
Proficiency in Alteryx, Visio and Teradata
eCommerce or Brick-and-Mortar Retail Industry experience
