What you'll do at

• Consolidating demand across markets (volume, target cost, specifications, seasonal transitions, etc.)
• Setting up RFQ process using Trade Extensions
• Analyzing Bids to evaluate sourcing decisions
• Providing insight & recommendations for negotiations
• Reviewing alignment decisions
• Finalizing Awards
• Tracking Timeline milestones and due dates
• Providing supplier performance trends and category analysis
• Anticipating potential gaps in supply, determining risk exposure and identifying solutions & contingency plans
• Forecasting & reporting on key financial metrics and reconciling volume, cost and value unlock to sourcing plan

  • Develops Joint Sourcing Strategy aligned with GPS, IPL and Markets
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects
  • Ensures business needs are being met
  • Manages supplier base for Joint Sourcing Plans aligned with GPS and IPL
  • Manages the relationship with GPS, IPL and Walmart Markets for the Joint Sourcing initiatives
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Business, Agronomy, Engineering, or related field and 5 years experience in retail merchandising, sourcing, supply chain, agronomy, or related field OR 7 years experience in retail merchandising, sourcing, supply chain, agronomy, or related field.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years experience in project management.
  • 4 years of produce industry knowledge.
  • 6 years of sourcing, retail, and/or merchandising experience.
  • Project management certification (PMP).
