What you'll do at

As the Manager of Content Programming for Vudu’s ad supported service, your primary role will be to support senior staff in the development, management and operation of a variety of editorially driven initiatives to grow consumer engagement and drive revenue for Vudu.

The ideal candidate will have a well-developed and deep understanding of the broadcast, online and over-the-top competitive video landscape; with a focus on maximizing programming opportunities for Vudu’s platform, backed by a strong understanding of data analysis. Further responsibilities will include managing programming layouts and demand partnership initiatives, communicating programming across departments, as well as tracking competitive strategy.

• Build and execute monthly programming plans for the AVOD service; promoting and featuring titles in a strategic, engaging rollout.
• Work closely with acquisitions and analytics to strategize title selection and evolve KPIs for evaluation.
• Work with marketing to support the execution of daily/weekly/monthly curation of video content with a synergetic strategy toward new releases and press-worthy tie ins.
• Oversee the library of available titles, ensuring that the service maintains a varied offering.
• Translate analytic findings into actionable, programming strategies.
• Work with senior staff to execute programing initiatives for demand partnerships.
• Act as the day to day contact for marketing/TVOD/ad sales/content teams.
• Communicate market trends and industry shifts, including implications for programming strategy and the overall business.
• Manage a monthly calendar for planning and stunting of available programming.
• Develop a deep understanding of Vudu’s user demographics and viewing patterns.
• Analyze and document the broadcast and internet video landscape.
• Screen and evaluate content for the application of TV ratings, genres and keywords.

Minimum Qualifications

• College degree with 5-7 years of professional experience working in content or planning/scheduling at an ad supported TV network or streaming service.
• Applicants must be passionate about content with a deep knowledge of film, television and the competitive landscape.
• Comprehensive knowledge of analytics and the ability to develop tools and translate data into communicable action.
• Experience managing demand partnerships.
• Working knowledge and understanding of digital platforms, technologies, and devices.
• Strong understanding of media research and the ability to analyze and process data as it applies to viewership, engagement and usage.
• Experience interacting with a variety of both internal and external partners.
• Ability to work independently and change direction frequently and swiftly.
• Proficiency using the internet or mobile content management systems is preferred.
• Excellent project and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in UX and/or Marketing a plus.
