We develop enterprise-scale machine learning systems integral to every Walmart customer transaction, focusing on extracting and processing product attributes that ensure accurate taxation across all sales channels. Our work impacts every checkout and receipt, driving significant real-world outcomes. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, we translate complex challenges into scalable AI applications, continuously enhancing model performance to support Walmart’s operational excellence and innovation at scale.
What you'll do:

• Identify and source relevant data from multiple business domains, ensuring data quality and fitness for purpose.
• Develop, test, and deploy advanced analytical models using Python to solve complex business problems.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to enhance model accuracy and robustness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions and actionable insights.
• Create clear, impactful data visualizations to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor junior team members on modeling techniques and best practices.
• Support scalability and sustainability of deployed models in production environments.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced analytical modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in Python programming, SQL, and data engineering practices.
• Strong knowledge of data visualization tools and best practices to communicate complex insights effectively.
• Expertise in data quality assessment, data source identification, and data strategy implementation.
• Ability to develop, test, validate, and deploy scalable analytical models in production environments.
• Solid understanding of business domains and ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
• Experience mentoring junior associates and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve business objectives.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Option 1- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 2- Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 1 years' experience in an analytics related field. Option 3 - 5 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
