Role summary:As a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the delivery of scalable, secure software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams. About the team:
The Walmart Finance Technology – Finance Data Factory (FDF) team develops advanced data platforms and workflows to handle large-scale data processing for visualization and downstream applications. Utilizing machine learning and statistical modeling, the team enhances transparency, governance, and automation. Focused on improving business partner experiences, the team standardizes processes and applies reporting and predictive analytics to deliver actionable insights. Members collaborate to design scalable, secure solutions, drive continuous improvement, and support innovation aligned with Walmart’s strategic goals, ensuring reliable, high-quality software delivery in a dynamic environment.
What you'll do:
- Lead delivery of scoped features and components through collaborative engineering teams, ensuring alignment with platform and business objectives.
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, efficient code across multiple programming languages, supporting full software development lifecycle and CI/CD processes.
- Integrate AI/ML components and leverage generative AI tools to enhance software capabilities and development efficiency.
- Participate in solution design, conduct code reviews, and apply best practices for scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and define success metrics.
- Monitor application performance, support defect resolution, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in software development with proficiency in languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and Java.
- Strong expertise in object-oriented programming, code review, debugging, and documentation-based coding practices.
- Proven ability to deliver scoped features and models through iterative development and continuous integration.
- Demonstrated skills in AI/ML integration and leveraging generative AI tools to enhance development efficiency.
- Solid understanding of platform design, product strategy, and technical solution design aligned with business goals.
- Experience in DevOps practices, automated testing, and program monitoring to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Effective collaboration and communication skills to work across teams and mentor peers.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
