Position Summary
As the General Manager of a Walmart Fashion Distribution Center, you will lead a large-scale operation responsible for delivering apparel, footwear, accessories, and seasonal merchandise to stores and customers across the network. This role requires a strategic and people-focused leader who can drive operational excellence, foster a culture of safety and inclusion, and ensure exceptional service while delivering business results. You will oversee all aspects of the distribution center, including operations, financial performance, workforce planning, talent development, customer service, inventory management, and community engagement. Success in this role requires strong leadership, a passion for developing teams, and the ability to execute in a fast-paced, complex supply chain environment.What You'll Do
Lead Operations and Deliver Results- Develop and execute the facility business plan to achieve goals related to productivity, service, quality, safety, and cost.
- Drive operational excellence across inbound, outbound, inventory, transportation, and fulfillment functions.
- Identify and implement strategic improvements that enhance efficiency, customer experience, and overall performance.
- Leverage data, analytics, and reporting to make informed business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a team of leaders and associates through clear direction, coaching, and performance management.
- Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, engagement, and belonging.
- Identify talent, support succession planning, and provide opportunities for growth and career development.
- Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, promotion, and recognition processes to build a strong and diverse workforce.
- Review and approve staffing plans to ensure resources are aligned with business demands and customer expectations.
- Manage facility budgets, expenses, and asset utilization to achieve financial objectives.
- Monitor operational metrics and performance indicators to ensure consistent execution and profitability.
- Analyze business reports and implement action plans that support long-term growth and operational success.
- Champion a culture where safety is the top priority for every associate.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and Walmart's quality and operational standards.
- Implement and maintain processes that support inventory accuracy, product quality, and workplace safety.
- Lead investigations and resolution efforts for operational, associate, customer, or supplier concerns.
- Serve as a Walmart ambassador within the local community.
- Partner with community organizations and support charitable initiatives and company-sponsored events.
- Build strong relationships with associates, customers, suppliers, and business partners to support operational excellence and shared success.

The annual salary range for this position is $180,000.00 - $270,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 3 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Assistant General Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 5 years experience in a senior management role as an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wideAssociates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
