Position: Senior Manager, Yield Analytics

Job Location: 850 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066

Duties: Develops data models (algorithms, approaches) for multiple projects within a business area or category to drive business results and value. Collaborates with project team to implement modeling solutions. Manages the development and implementation of prototypes and production-ready complex algorithms for multiple projects. Manages the testing and validation process to monitor the solution. Collaborates with Advanced Analytics Experts to develop new data analysis techniques. Manages the development and application of advanced analytics to address unique business and technical problems, and support data-driven decision making. Makes strategic recommendations to analytics leadership based on data analysis. Supports more experienced team members with the development of data analysis strategies; participates in strategy development conversations. Collaborates with functional leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Categories, Customer Experience, Merchandising) to develop consultative solutions for multiple projects for a business area, category or prototype. Interacts on a daily basis, and collaborates with external business partners and vendors. Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. This position supervises three employees: Manager, Yield Analytics (3).

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or the equivalent in data science, machine learning, computer science, mathematics, operations research, economics, statistics, marketing analytics, or related area and 1 year of experience in yield management, pricing strategy, business analysis, business planning, database management, optimization, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in data science, machine learning, computer science, mathematics, operations research, economics, statistics, marketing analytics, or related area and 3 years of experience in yield management, pricing strategy, business analysis, business planning, database management, optimization, or related area.

Skills required: Experience coding in object-oriented programming languages (Python and Java Script). Experience querying data with advanced SQL (join and window function). Experience modeling and forecasting time-series data (ETS, ARIMA, and Prophet). Experience visualizing data with a visualization tool (Tableau and Looker). Experience processing large scale data sets (Spark, Google Cloud Storage, AWS, and SAS). Experience using workflow management platform for data engineering pipelines (Airflow). Experience analyzing data with statistical models (Regressions and Random Forest). Experience working with workplace productivity software (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word). Experience working with machine learning and data processing frameworks (Scikit-learn, Pandas and NumPy). Experience working with statistical inference methodologies (hypothesis testing and p-value calculations). Experience using software development version control system (Git). Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $143,000/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
