Position Summary
Our Sam’s Club Optical Team is looking for a dedicated and member-focused Part-Time Optician to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide exceptional service to our members by assisting with eyewear selection, processing prescriptions, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming Optical department.

Key Responsibilities
Member Service & Sales
- Greet and assist members by identifying their needs and recommending appropriate optical products and services
- Support purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and resolve member concerns
- Verify prescriptions and complete eyewear and contact lens orders accurately
- Measure, adjust, and repair frames and lenses
- Collect payments for optical products and orders
Operations & Merchandising
- Maintain merchandise presentation by stocking, cleaning, and organizing displays
- Ensure proper signage, pricing, and security of merchandise
- Remove damaged goods and identify shrink opportunities
- Maintain the Optical sales floor through zoning, organization, and cleanliness
- Handle claims and returns according to company policies
- Receive and stock merchandise while completing required logs and documentation
Register & Equipment Operations
- Operate cash registers and related equipment
- Process purchases, payments, refunds, and exchanges accurately
- Follow procedures for different membership and payment types

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
