Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, People leads the execution of strategic people initiatives to support business objectives, driving performance through effective planning, coaching, and development. This role supports the Merchandising Execution and Private Brand organization for Sam’s Club, partnering closely with business leaders to align people strategies with operational priorities. By partnering with business leaders, the role advances organizational change, promotes continuous improvement, and upholds high standards of integrity and ethics. The Senior Manager also champions associate engagement and development, enabling a culture where all team members are empowered to contribute and succeed.

It focuses on developing talent through coaching, mentoring, and performance management while fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. The team supports organizational change initiatives and ensures compliance with policies and regulations. By leveraging data analysis and cross-functional collaboration, it delivers actionable insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Committed to integrity and continuous improvement, the team empowers associates to contribute their best, supports leadership with human resource strategies, and promotes a culture that advances business goals responsibly and ethically.

What you'll do...

  • Lead execution of business plans by identifying needs, setting priorities, and removing obstacles to enhance performance.
  • Supervise and develop associates through training, mentoring, performance evaluations, and recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations while promoting ethical standards.
  • Define and implement human resources strategies aligned with business goals and organizational change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with partners to analyze data, identify risks, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
  • Foster a high-performing, respectful team environment that supports continuous learning and development.
  • Drive consistent application of HR practices and support managers with guidance and consulting.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
