Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Architecture will report to the Director of Design Integrity and Continuity and be responsible for design or process integrity and consistency across one of the largest and most diverse built portfolios of Walmart U.S. Stores, Clubs, and Industrial facilities.


The Senior Manager, Architecture leads Walmart U.S. efforts to establish clear standards, disciplined execution, and cohesive design solutions where alignment is applicable across multiple formats. Partnering closely with architecture, engineering, construction and business leaders, this role translates strategy into repeatable, enterprise‑first solutions delivering long‑term value.

  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to support the development and execution of stores, clubs, and industrial program design, process and procurement where alignment and consistency preserve enterprise principles.
  • Present value engineered design, process and procurement with strong recommendations grounded in precedent, data, standards, and risk assessment.
  • Influence and collaborate with cross‑functional format experts to align on enterprise‑first solutions that reduce variation and unlock portfolio‑wide savings.
  • Develop corrective action plans and improvement strategies as needed to ensure quality, and consistency across formats.
  • Own and manage assigned specialty programs or processes, providing training and guidance to internal teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver intelligent, scalable, and timely BIM solutions that support portfolio consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Continuously identify and drive improvements using AI to internal systems, tools, and processes to reduce complexity, increase clarity, and enable cost savings.
What You’ll Bring...
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in architectural design, construction, and project management; retail and prototype experience strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience with proficiency in Autodesk tools including ReCap, Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, ACC, and Tandem.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • LEED accreditation (or equivalent sustainability credential).
  • Experience developing, governing, and scaling architectural standards, prototypes, and design playbooks at enterprise scale.
  • Demonstrated application of AI‑enabled and advanced digital tools to enhance architectural decision‑making, model quality, workflow efficiency, and risk reduction.
  • Proven experience leading and coordinating project teams of architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Executive‑level communication skills, including the ability to present clear, data‑driven recommendations to senior leadership.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
